Repositories

4TU.Center for Research Data

4TU.Datacentrum offers the knowledge, experience and the tools to archive research data in a standardized, secure and well-documented manner.  It provides the research community with: a long-term archive for storing scientific research data, permanent access to, and tools for reuse of research data, advice and support on data management.

Dataverse Network

The Dataverse is an open source web application to share, preserve, cite, explore and analyze research data. It facilitates making data available to others, and allows you to replicate others work. Researchers, data authors, publishers, data distributors, and affiliated institutions all receive appropriate credit. A Dataverse repository hosts multiple dataverses. Each dataverse contains datatset or other dataverses, and each dataset contains descriptive metadata and data files (including documentation and code that accompany the data).

DataverseNL

DataverseNL is a self deposit repository for data sharing, data analysis and medium-tem archiving.

DHS data access

Since 1993, CentERdata annually collects economic data via the DNB Household Survey (DHS). The purpose of this survey is to study the economic and psychological determinants of the saving behavior of households. The data are collected through the CentERpanel, which collects data every week on various topics.

De Digitale Koepel (Meertens Instituut)

The collection profile of the Meertens Institute focuses on Dutch Ethnology and Language Variation as part of the national heritage of the Netherlands.

Dryad

DataDryad.org is a curated general-purpose repository that makes the data underlying scientific publications discoverable, freely reusable, and citable. Dryad is an international repository of data underlying peer-reviewed scientific and medical literature, particularly data for which no specialized repository exists. The content is considered to be integral to the published research. All material in Dryad is associated with a scholarly publication.

EASY

(DANS) EASY offers sustainable archiving of research data and access to thousands of datasets.

EDNA

Figshare

Figshare is a repository where users can make all of their research outputs available in a citable, shareable and discoverable manner.
Figshare allows users to upload any file format to be made visualisable in the browser so that figures, datasets, media, papers, posters, presentations and filesets can be disseminated in a way that the current scholarly publishing model does not allow.

Infrared Space Observatory data archive

The Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) is designed to provide detailed infrared properties of selected Galactic and extragalactic sources. The sensitivity of the telescopic system is about one thousand times superior to that of the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS), since the ISO telescope enables integration of infrared flux from a source for several hours. Density waves in the interstellar medium, its role in star formation, the giant planets, asteroids, and comets of the solar system are among the objects of investigation.

Language Archive

The Language Archive (TLA) is a unit of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics concerned with digital language resources and tools. It is a large data archive holding resources on languages worldwide.

PANGAEA

The information system PANGAEA is operated as an Open Access library aimed at archiving, publishing and distributing georeferenced data from earth system research. The system guarantees long-term availability of its content through a commitment of the operating institutions.

SURF Data Archive

The SURF Data Archive offers a central location for data archiving. Academic researchers, UMCs and other organizations from a great variety of disciplines use Data Archive. In contrast to data back up which is meant for disaster-recovery for data used on a daily basis, the goal of archiving is long-term retention. It is thus targeted at keeping data that is not actively used safe for future use, i.e. researchers can “freeze” data accompanying a paper or raw data that will serve as a basis for future analysis.

SURFsharekit

Surveydata Nederland

Every year a lot of surveys are being conducted in the Netherlands and enormous amounts of data are collected. Data collection organizations like DANS and CentERdata are involved in the dissemination of these data and metadata through freely accessible archives. The Surveydata Nederland portal allows you to browse and search for data you need for your research. Most of the data archives allow you to download the data, codebooks etc. at no cost.

TalkBank

The goal of TalkBank is to foster fundamental research in the study of human and animal communication. It will construct sample databases within each of the subfields studying communication. It will use these databases to advance the development of standards and tools for creating, sharing, searching, and commenting upon primary materials via networked computers.
TalkBank provides transcripts, audio and video of communicative interactions for research in human and animal communication.

World Data Centre for Soils

ICSU-WDS node that deals directly with soil data curation and soil data analysis services. The World Data Centre for Soils provides a focus for soil-related collections and information services as custodian of global soil information.  An important aspect is the WDS data rescue program, safeguarding older (legacy) data which may be at risk of loss or deterioration, and digitizing old data sets/materials. In this context, ISRIC is welcoming additional soil maps and reports for possible inclusion in the WDC- Soils holdings. Both analogue and digital data are collated, maintained and analyzed.

Zenodo

Zenodo builds and operates a simple and innovative service that enables researchers, scientists, EU projects and institutions to share and showcase multidisciplinary research results (data and publications) that are not part of the existing institutional or subject-based repositories of the research communities. ZENODO enables researchers, scientists, EU projects and institutions to: easily share the long tail of small research results in a wide variety of formats including text, spreadsheets, audio, video, and images across all fields of science. display their research results and get credited by making the research results citable and integrate them into existing reporting lines to funding agencies like the European Commission. easily access and reuse shared research results.

Zorggegevens
